　　隨時搜集匯整一些美髮『技術書』、『網頁』常見的英文用語，讓自己多接觸、常記錄、多使用、廣分享，我確信不怕多、不怕難，只要有心、日積月累必可讓自己有更多的見聞，因為第一手資料的穫取是不容遲緩的。

　　以下是依據英文字首作分類，每個常見英文用語後面是對照的中譯用法，及英文單字相關的使用範例。內容若有錯誤，請不吝留言指教。

Quadrate：方形的、長方形的

Quaternary ammonium compounds：四氨化物,四級胺的家族總稱,陽性界面活性劑（cationic surface active agents）：又稱為四級銨化合物（quaternary ammonium compounds；QACs）、陽性肥皂（陽離子肥皂，cationic soap），或逆性肥皂（invert soap）。

主要由一個氮原子鍵結四烷基所形成的化合物。目前市面大多數為烷基苯亞基化氯（alkyl benzalkonium chlorides）或是西曲溴銨（Cetrimide），可黏在細菌的細胞膜上，造成孔洞，來達到抑菌的效果。其對gram-positive的細菌的殺菌效果較 gram-negative細菌為佳，但對於黴菌，TB菌，細菌孢子類的抑菌效果就很弱。也因此容易滋生gram-negative細菌。但因其對皮膚的刺激較少，故可用於清潔皮膚表面，燒傷病人亦合用。目前市面上，常見於去頭皮洗髮水、美琪藥皂、隱形眼鏡消毒藥水，並可作化妝品防腐劑。其目前被美國食品藥物管理局暫時歸類成第三級（category IIISE）的殺菌洗手劑，代表其安全性及有效性仍須進一步證實。

四價胺化合物(Quaternary ammonium compounds)：許多四價胺化合物經常與其它殺菌劑(如酒精)混合使用，對細菌營養體和含脂病毒有效，某些種類，如 benzalkonium chloride 可當做防腐劑。某些四價胺化合物殺菌活性受到有機物、水的硬度、和陰離子清潔劑的影響而降低，使用此類化合物做為消毒劑，標的物應先進行清洗工作。四價胺化合物不易進行生物分解，易累積於環境中。

Quaternary Ammonium Compounds ，又叫做四級物，在鹼性ph值下能表現最大的活性。它會和有機物質結合而限制其作用。四級物的主要優點是低組織毒性和高作用速度。最大的缺點是當有機物質存在時，會明顯降低其活性。水中的礦物質也會減少它的效果。重複接觸會造成皮膚乾燥化。並且帶負電的肥皂和陰離子清潔劑會中和它們的抗微生物效果。

The use of quaternary ammonium compounds in hair conditioner formulations is known in the art.
Quaternary ammonium compound hair conditioners,This invention relates to hair care preparations containing certain quaternary ammonium compounds which exhibit effective hair conditioning and processing properties, and methods for the use of such preparations.
Cationic surfactants, particularly quaternary ammonium compounds, are used in hair care as revitalizing and conditioning components for improving the combability, body and feel of the hair and for reducing its static chargeability.

Quasi-permanent color：類似永久的著色劑 --產品介於Semi-permanent和permanent之間。

Demi / quasi-permanent - color usually contains little ammonia and has a low percent peroxide (under 10 vol.) the color lasts about 6 weeks and fades gradually back to the natural shade.
Quasi-permanent colourants do not lighten natural hair colour because they use only elow strength' peroxide.
Quasi-Permanent Colour: This product is mixed with a very small amount of peroxide, thus will open the cuticle slightly to deposit colour. Because it contains peroxide it will last longer than a semi but not be as strong as a permanent. You can also lighten, darken or change the tone with this product, and will last up to 12 weeks.
Quasi-permanent colours Quasi-permanent colour molecules are small enough to enter the cortex but do not change the natural hair colour permanently.
What is the pH value of quasi-permanent colour? --pH 6.8–9.0

Quality：品質,優質的,高級的

I think hairstyles would be a quality of life expense for some people.

You can achieve salon quality hair without stepping into the salon.
The high quality formula contains no sulfate which allows hair to feel very silky and soft,long after application.
Great Lengths utilizes 100% human hair of the best quality.
The highest quality extension hair, "virgin hair", is hair that has never been processed.
High quality extension hair can be chemically altered to achieve different textures.
However, the quality of hair varies greatly, and if well maintained, synthetic hair can look as good as, if not better than human hair.
Lower-quality "human hair" extensions are often diluted with animal and synthetic hair to lower the price.
High quality 100% human hair is more expensive than hair mixed with other materials.
European Hair is a popular form of hair.There is also a widespread misconception that soft and silky hair is the best quality. Any type of hair can be made soft and silky through the use of certain conditioners or oil like silicon oil.

Quality Haircut：優質Definition(定義)--A quality haircut is one that is well shaped to suit the client's facial features and head shape. A quality haircut will be well blended and professionally finished and will look good between trips to the salon.

Quality haircutting is a service I’m willing to pay others for at a reasonable rate.
I do not know what a quality haircut is versus a non-quality cut.
Get a different quality haircut that will also change the mood of your appearance from old-fashioned cut to a wash-and wear type of style.
Getting a quality haircut in the week or two before the wedding is always good idea whether you want to completely change your look, or simply update it to be fresh and at your best during the wedding.
I'll never understand people who spend hundreds of dollars on clothes, but balk at the price of a quality haircut.
I think a quality haircut and consistency is worth paying for.

Quantity：量,數量,分量

Quantity refers to the density of hair – how much hair is on the head and how thick or fine the hair shape is.These factors are important when you are thinking about the balance and control of a hair style. For example, it is easy to show volume on thick hair. On thin hair it is more difficult so you need to use styling gels and mousses.
Remember when considering a new haircut you also need to ensure the style compliments your face shape, lifestyle and quantity of hair.
As always, before you cut, there are number of client characteristics you need to look at, including: facial features and face shape; hairlines, hair-growth patterns; hair quantity, quality and texture.
Fine hair refers to the hairs structure not its quantity.
There is definitely an improvment in the quality and quantity of my hair, and I have started getting a number of compliments on it, without changing the style or color.
You can test which trend haircut of a new season suits your hair texture, shape of face and quantity of spare time. We will help you making the choice.
Now, apply a small quantity of hair gel. Using the tip of your fingers, rub the gel from the scalp towards the locks.
Use a small quantity of styling gel and rub this from the scalp towards the edges.
Quantity and mainly the texture of the hair, such as straightness and the curliness along with your height are the most important elements to choose the hair style.

Due to less quantity of hair in short hair, short hair side bun style actually looks like faux bun hair style.
This haircut is less hassle as it only require a bit quantity of styling items.
